Roles & responsibilities

Deltek Maconomy Management Specialist (KGS)

Role Summary

This role manages is a part of the KPMG UK Group Finance Systems CoE Team and focusses on managing Deltek Maconomy finance operations and application support for Swiss Firm. The focus is on resolving system issues, 3rd level supporting  for e.g. project accounting, revenue recognition, managing incidents and delivery change requests E2E by implementing the changes yourself or coordinate with the ERP provider

 

The role works closely with Swiss Finance stakeholders, Maconomy functional teams and delivery partners to resolve issues, maintain financial controls and deliver agreed enhancements. Reporting to the Results Controller.

 

Key Responsibilities

•
•Manage Deltek Maconomy order to cash and purchase to pay  processes, including GL
•Investigate and support resolving posting errors, project billing exceptions and data issues
•Manage Maconomy incidents and change requests with Deltek and delivery partners, tracking priorities and timely resolution.
•Define Maconomy enhancement requirements, review functional specifications, implement and test the changes and coordinate user acceptance testing.
•Create training material and support change management activities
•Support other finance application in different process areas 
•Maintain process documentation, access controls and master data standards to improve Maconomy operations.

Process Improvement:

•Process Efficiency: Improve Maconomy finance workflows and reporting, reducing manual effort while maintaining controls and data quality.
•Maconomy Administration: Coordinate Maconomy master data, access reviews and reporting changes with Finance and IT.

Team and Stakeholder Engagement:

•Stakeholder Management: Work with Swiss Finance stakeholders to prioritise Maconomy issues and enhancements, providing support from 2 PM IST.
•Training and Best Practices: Train users on Maconomy finance processes. Maintain guidance to improve adoption and consistent use.

Skills & Experience

•Strong Deltek Maconomy management and finance support experience, with a management accounting focus
•Good understanding of Maconomy order to cash, purchase to pay and GL processes
•Experience managing Maconomy incidents and delivery of  changes request with DevOps or other similar tools
•Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
•Experience in leading users through changes
•Ability to manage multiple priorities and build relationships with senior stakeholders
•Resilient and able to work with multiple and highly demanding stakeholders
•An ability to work at both a strategic and a granular level – choosing when each is appropriate
•High attention to detail and ability to deliver quality work under pressure
•Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
•Experience in SAP S4/Hana implementation will be an added benefit
