Statistical Analyst

     

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives:
The Statistical Analyst will review table mockups, CRFs and edit check specifications; work with biostatisticians and clinical staff to generate data tables, figures and listings; write and document programs; perform ad hoc programming; and perform QC tasks.

Major Responsibilities:
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
- Perform QC of tables, presentations and reports.
- Review CRFs, edit check specifications and table mock-ups.
- Assist in creation of table mockups under supervision of statisticians or senior statistical analysts
- Generate or validate table programs
- Perform adhoc programming with assistance from statisticians or senior statistical analysts
- Provide data listing or summary to Data Management for data cleaning
- Document programs and specifications
- Demonstrate knowledge of SAS data steps, procedures and macros
- Be able to use and modify existing macros
- Provide accurate and timely answers to routine questions
- Communicate an understanding of basic clinical principles for his/her project and acts in accordance with those principles.
- Inform supervisor or manager on important issues in a timely manner.

Education / Experience Required:

BS or BA with 3-5 years or MS with 18 months of related work experience

Accountability / Scope:

Position interacts with customers from clinical research. Effective communication with various levels of personnel is required regularly.

Problem Solving:

Position communicates an understanding of clinical trial principles for assigned projects and acts in accordance with those principles; effectively and persuasively presents programming concepts to customers within the project team.
