Workplace Programs Manager

Minimum qualifications:

• 12 years of experience in workplace programs (e.g., food, events, transportation) or a related area like real estate, sustainability, or project management.
• 12 years of experience in facility management, hospitality, corporate services, or property management.
• Experience in vendor or contract management.
• Experience developing and executing communications and engagement strategy.
• Experience in a leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

• 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry managing food program, event planning and coordination. Experience in a technical discipline and business, or management, demonstrating a blend of technical acumen and business/financial leadership.
• Significant experience in a high-tech, fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize multiple and changing initiatives.
• Knowledge and experience managing event operations, Audiovisual (AV) Systems, stage lighting and rigging, event power requirements, hybrid and virtual event technologies, technical production management, etc.
• Fluent in AI/ML tools, understanding of their applicability, functionality, and limitations.

About the job

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Event Manager to oversee and execute high-stakes internal and external events across Google's offices in India. This role focuses on delivering seamless event operations with strong technical expertise in audiovisual (AV) systems, stage lighting, event power setup, and hybrid event technologies. You will be passionate about creating memorable experiences, managing complex technical logistics, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

As the Event Manager for India, you will be responsible for defining an ambitious operational vision, strategic roadmap, and performance standards for event infrastructure and operations across our campus facilities. You will lead technical production teams, AV engineers, lighting technicians, and external vendors to deliver event experiences. You will serve as the single point of accountability for event technology readiness, ensuring high-voltage power stability, seamless hybrid/virtual streaming, and flawless AV/lighting integration across large-scale gatherings, corporate summits, and executive presentations.

Leveraging deep event management experience and a strong technical background, you will drive core objectives focused on event reliability, technical production quality, and AI integration for event workflows. Specifically, you will implement innovative event tech solutions, maintain strategic supplier relationships with technical equipment vendors, leverage data-driven post-event insights, and manage event budgets to ensure scalable and impactful event execution across India.

Responsibilities

• Set the operational vision and technical standards for event execution across India, establishing long-term roadmaps for AV infrastructure, hybrid platforms, and venue tech setup.
• Provide technical leadership to production crews, AV engineers, lighting designers, and sound engineers, ensuring flawless execution of high-stakes events and broadcasts.
• Oversee end-to-end event logistics, power distribution management, stage design, and venue technical readiness across multi-city office spaces in India.
• Establish clear SLAs and performance metrics for external AV providers, staging crews, event technology platforms, and equipment rental partners.
• Build and maintain robust relationships with leading production houses, event tech providers, facility power engineers, and cross-functional Google teams.
