Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer responsible for developing, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs for precision turned components. The candidate should have strong knowledge of CNC turning, tooling, cutting parameters, and drawing interpretation, with a focus on productivity, quality, and cycle-time optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and modify CNC programs for CNC turning and sliding-head machines.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.

Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, holders, and machining strategies.

Establish and optimize cutting speeds, feeds, depth of cut, and tool life.

Carry out program prove-outs, tool setting, and first-off component development.

Troubleshoot machining problems such as dimensional variation, tool wear, vibration, burrs, and surface-finish issues.

Optimize programs to reduce cycle time, tool consumption, and rejection.

Support new product development and process development.

Prepare and maintain CNC programs, tool lists, setup sheets, and process documentation.

Work closely with Production, Quality, Tool Room, and Engineering teams.

Ensure programs comply with customer drawings and process requirements.

Implement continuous improvements in machining processes and productivity.

Required Technical Skills:

Good knowledge of CNC Turning / CNC Sliding Head machines.

Strong knowledge of G-code and M-code programming.

Knowledge of Fanuc / Mitsubishi / Syntec or similar CNC controls.

Good understanding of carbide inserts, grades, geometries, and tool selection.

Knowledge of machining materials such as EN8, EN19, 16MnCr5, 8620, stainless steel, and hardened materials.

Understanding of GD&T, limits & fits, surface finish, and inspection methods.

Knowledge of drilling, threading, grooving, boring, turning, and parting operations.

Ability to optimize machining parameters and cycle times.

Knowledge of CNC tool offsets and machine setup.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in precision turned components / automotive / hydraulic components.

Experience with Citizen, Star, Traub, Doosan, LMW or similar CNC machines.

Experience in high-volume production and process optimization.

Knowledge of CNC simulation/program verification will be an advantage.
