Procurement/Purchase Executive

Roles and Responsibilities – Purchase Executive (Automobile Industry)

• Handle end-to-end procurement activities, from purchase requisition to purchase order (PO) processing.
• Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with vendors for automotive components, raw materials, spare parts, and other required materials.
• Obtain and compare vendor quotations to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Prepare and release purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procurement requirements.
• Coordinate with production, stores, quality, engineering, and finance teams to ensure material availability.
• Follow up with vendors on order status, delivery commitments, and pending supplies.
• Monitor inventory levels and support timely procurement to avoid material shortages and production delays.
• Maintain vendor databases, purchase records, quotations, invoices, and procurement documentation.
• Track material costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Resolve vendor-related issues involving quality, pricing, delivery delays, and invoice discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and maintain accurate MIS reports on purchase orders, costs, and vendor performance.
