Hydraulic Press Operator

Role Summary

The Hydraulic Press Operator will operate and monitor hydraulic press machines on the shop floor to produce fluid sealing components as per production schedule, quality standards, and safety norms. Both experienced operators and freshers with the requisite technical knowledge will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

●      Operate hydraulic press machines for pressing/moulding of components as per daily production plan and job cards.

●      Set up dies/tools and adjust machine parameters (pressure, dwell time, cycle time) as per job specifications.

●      Load and unload components/material safely and accurately during the press cycle.

●      Monitor machine performance continuously and ensure output conforms to quality standards (SOP/drawing).

●      Conduct first-piece and in-process checks; report deviations to the Shift In-Charge/QC promptly.

●      Perform routine pre-operational checks, basic preventive maintenance, and housekeeping (5S) of the machine and work area.

●      Report machine breakdowns, abnormal sounds, or safety hazards immediately to the maintenance/production team.

●      Maintain accurate production records, job cards, and shift handover notes.

●      Strictly follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and machine guarding procedures while operating the press.

●      Work in rotational shifts (6:00 AM–2:00 PM / 2:00 PM–10:00 PM) as per production requirement.

Candidate Requirements

For Experienced Candidates:

●      Prior hands-on experience operating hydraulic press machines in a manufacturing/engineering set-up preferred.

●      Familiarity with die setting, machine parameter adjustment, and routine troubleshooting.

For Freshers:

●      Must have theoretical/practical knowledge of hydraulic press machine operation and working principles (ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or related trade preferred).

●      Willingness to work on shop-floor processes under supervision.

For Worker-Level Candidates:

●      Worker-level candidates may also apply, provided they have knowledge of hydraulic press operation and genuine interest to work on the same.

Common to All:

●      Must be flexible for rotational shift duty — 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

●      Physically fit to work on the factory floor; comfortable with standing and repetitive machine operation.

●      Basic reading/writing ability to maintain job cards, logs, and shift records.

●      Safety-conscious, disciplined, and able to work well in a team.
