Manufacturing Supervisor

Job Title: Manufacturing Supervisor

Department: Production / Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Monitoring: Supervise shop-floor workers, monitor job progress, track production status, ensure timely completion of assigned tasks, and maintain daily work-progress records.
2. Material Receipt and Dispatch Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials, verify received quantities against supplier challans and purchase documents, prepare delivery challans for outgoing materials as required, and ensure proper documentation of all material receipts, issues, and transfers.
3. Tools and Inventory Control: Maintain records of tools, equipment, and consumables; issue tools to workers according to job requirements; and track their return, condition, and availability.
4. Stock Monitoring and Replenishment: Monitor inventory levels, identify low-stock items, and submit timely replenishment requests to avoid material shortages and production delays.
5. Production and Material Reporting: Maintain accurate daily records of production progress, material consumption, material movements, tool issuance, and inventory levels for management review.
6. Daily Progress Reporting: Submit daily reports to management detailing job-wise work completed and pending, worker allocation, production status, material requirements, and any deviations from planned schedules.
7. Issue Reporting and Escalation: Promptly report material shortages, machine breakdowns, quality issues, worker-related problems, and other factors affecting production progress or delivery commitments.
8. Work Coordination: Coordinate with management and shop-floor workers regarding job priorities, material availability, production targets, and timely completion of assigned work.
9. Record Maintenance and Accountability: Ensure all production records, material challans, stock registers, tool issue records, and daily reports are properly maintained, accurate, and available for verification by management.
