Position: Dental Assistant

Experience: Prior dental clinic experience is preferred.

• Roles and ResponsibilitiesAssist dentists during dental procedures and treatments.
• Prepare the dental operatory, instruments, and materials before each patient appointment.
• Ensure proper sterilization and disinfection of dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas.
• Maintain infection control protocols and follow clinic hygiene and safety standards.
• Prepare dental materials and assist with procedures such as fillings, root canal treatments, extractions, scaling, crowns, and other dental treatments.
• Ensure all dental instruments and equipment are clean, sterilized, and ready for use.
• Assist in patient preparation, positioning, and comfort during dental procedures.
• Maintain and update patient records, treatment charts, and clinical documentation as required.
• Provide pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions to patients as directed by the dentist.
• Monitor and maintain dental supplies, instruments, and consumables, and inform the concerned person when stock is low.
• Ensure proper biomedical waste segregation and disposal according to clinic protocols.
• Coordinate with the front office team regarding patient appointments and treatment room readiness.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic and treatment areas.
• Support dentists and other clinical staff to ensure smooth day-to-day clinic operations.
• Required Qualifications and SkillsDiploma or certificate in Dental Assisting, or relevant dental clinical training, preferred.
• Basic knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and common dental procedures.
• Understanding of sterilization, infection control, and biomedical waste management.
• Good communication skills and a patient-friendly attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions, work in a team, and manage multiple tasks.
• Attention to detail, punctuality, and a professional approach to patient care.
• Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience working in a dental clinic is an advantage.
• Knowledge of chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry is preferred.
• Familiarity with dental equipment, materials, and treatment room preparation is desirable.
