Job Description

Job SummaryThe General Manager is responsible for the overall management and operations of the hotel/resort. The role includes supervising staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, managing budgets, and achieving financial and operational goals while maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Operations Management

  • Oversee daily hotel and resort operations.
  • Ensure high standards of guest service and hospitality.
  • Coordinate with all departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance, Security).

2. Financial Management

  • Prepare and manage budgets and financial plans.
  • Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Implement cost control and revenue growth strategies.

3. Staff Management

  • Recruit, train, and supervise employees.
  • Maintain discipline and professional work culture.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and staff development.

4. Guest Relations

  • Ensure excellent guest experience and satisfaction.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues quickly.
  • Maintain positive relationships with VIP guests and corporate clients.

5. Sales & Marketing

  • Develop strategies to increase occupancy and revenue.
  • Work with the sales team on promotions and packages.
  • Maintain partnerships with travel agents and corporate clients.

6. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and hotel policies.
  • Maintain safety, hygiene, and security standards.
  • Monitor licenses and legal documentation.
  • QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management / Hotel Management / Business Administration.
  • MBA or Hotel Management specialization preferred.
  • Experience8–15 years experience in hotel/resort management.
  • Minimum 3–5 years experience as Operations Manager or Assistant GM.
