Spares Part Manager

The Spare Parts Manager is responsible for managing the complete spare parts operations of the dealership, including inventory management, procurement, storage, sales, distribution, and availability of genuine spare parts. The role ensures smooth coordination between the service department, customers, and suppliers while maintaining optimum inventory levels and achieving departmental sales and profitability targets.

• Key Roles and Responsibilities1. Spare Parts Inventory ManagementMaintain optimum stock levels of genuine spare parts.
• Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving spare parts.
• Ensure timely availability of required parts for the service workshop.
• Conduct regular physical stock verification and inventory audits.
• Minimize stock shortages, excess inventory, and obsolete stock.
• Maintain proper records of all spare parts transactions.
• 2. Procurement and OrderingPrepare and place spare parts orders based on sales and service requirements.
• Coordinate with authorized suppliers and company representatives for timely delivery.
• Monitor pending orders and follow up for urgent spare parts.
• Ensure proper receiving and verification of incoming spare parts.
• 3. Parts Sales ManagementAchieve monthly and annual spare parts sales targets.
• Promote genuine spare parts to retail customers and workshop customers.
• Monitor counter sales and workshop parts consumption.
• Identify opportunities to increase spare parts revenue.
• 4. Workshop CoordinationCoordinate closely with the Service Manager and technicians.
• Ensure required parts are available for scheduled repairs and services.
• Reduce vehicle waiting time caused by spare parts shortages.
• Monitor the issue and return of parts used in the workshop.
• 5. Store and Warehouse ManagementEnsure proper storage and arrangement of spare parts.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization in the spare parts department.
• Implement proper labeling and bin location systems.
• Prevent damage, loss, theft, and misplacement of inventory.
• 6. Team ManagementSupervise spare parts executives, storekeepers, and counter staff.
• Allocate daily responsibilities to team members.
• Train employees on inventory procedures and spare parts knowledge.
• Monitor team performance and productivity.
• 7. Reporting and MISPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly spare parts reports.
• Monitor inventory levels, sales performance, and stock movement.
• Report slow-moving and obsolete inventory to management.

• Handle customer complaints related to spare parts availability.
