Job Description
- Record day-to-day accounting entries in Zoho Books: purchase bills, sales invoices, expenses, receipts, payments and journal entries.
- Reconcile bank statements with the books every month, and identify and clear unmatched transactions.
- Process vendor payments, maintain vendor ledgers and reconcile vendor statements.
- Raise customer invoices, follow up on outstanding receivables and reconcile customer ledgers.
- Support monthly payroll processing in Zoho Payroll, including attendance and overtime inputs, salary payments, full and final settlements, and employee advances and loans.
- Reconcile payroll journals with bank payments and the salary payable account.
- Prepare data and workings for GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and reconcile input tax credit with GSTR-2B.
- Compute and deposit TDS, and help prepare quarterly TDS returns.
- Prepare monthly PF, ESI and Professional Tax workings and ensure payment on time.
- Handle petty cash and employee expense reimbursement claims.
- Assist with month-end closing: accruals, prepaid expenses, depreciation entries and ledger scrutiny.
- Prepare MIS reports and schedules as required by management.
- Maintain proper filing of vouchers, invoices and supporting documents.
- Coordinate with auditors and provide the data needed for statutory and internal audits.
