API Platform & DevOps Engineer

IBM DataPower, Event Gateways, GitLab Pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, AWS • Design, deploy, and administer IBM DataPower API Gateway and Event Gateway platforms in production environments. • Configure and manage API security policies, authentication, authorization, SSL/TLS certificates, and traffic management. • Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for application and infrastructure deployments. • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform and Ansible. • Manage and support AWS cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, and security services. • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards and DevOps best practices across environments. • Monitor API gateway performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability. • Configure API publishing, routing, transformation, rate limiting, and monitoring capabilities. • Collaborate with development teams to enable secure API deployment and lifecycle management. • Integrate API platforms with enterprise authentication systems, monitoring tools, and logging solutions. • Perform platform upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and performance tuning activities. • Automate operational tasks, deployments, and environment provisioning to improve efficiency. • Ensure compliance with security, governance, and organizational standards. • Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive measures. • Support containerized and cloud-native workloads deployed on AWS platforms. • Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks. • Participate in change management, release management, and production support activities. • Work closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver scalable and resilient API solutions. • Monitor system health, application logs, and deployment metrics to ensure SLA adherence. • Provide L2/L3 support and participate in on-call support for critical business applications and API services.
