Assistant Store Manager / Assistant Manager – Retail

• Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Store Manager in managing day-to-day store operations.
• Supervise and motivate the sales team to achieve sales and revenue targets.
• Ensure excellent customer service and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor store sales, conversion, average transaction value and other KPIs.
• Handle staff scheduling, attendance, grooming and discipline.
• Support recruitment, training and onboarding of new team members.
• Ensure proper visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Monitor inventory, stock movement, replenishment and stock accuracy.
• Coordinate with the warehouse and management team for stock requirements.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
• Ensure proper billing, cash handling and daily closing procedures.
• Monitor loss prevention, shrinkage and operational compliance.
• Prepare and share daily/weekly sales and operational reports.
• Maintain company policies, SOPs, hygiene and safety standards.
• Take charge of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Candidate RequirementsGraduate preferred; candidates with relevant retail experience can also apply.
• 2–5 years of experience in retail operations, preferably in a supervisory or team-lead role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of sales, customer service and store operations.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and POS systems.
• Flexible to work in shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
