Career Advisor (OPT)

Shift: 7:30 PM IST 4:30 AM IST

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide OPT, CPT, STEM OPT, H1B, EAD, and Green Card candidates throughout their job search.
• Provide career counseling and assist consultants in identifying suitable career opportunities.
• Conduct resume reviews and optimize resumes according to current US IT market standards.
• Prepare candidates for technical and HR interviews through mock interview sessions.
• Educate candidates on the US recruitment process, visa compliance, and employment documentation.
• Coordinate with OPT Recruiters, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure successful consultant placements.
• Track candidate progress and provide regular career guidance and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate candidate records, reports, and documentation.
• Build strong relationships with consultants and ensure a positive candidate experience.
• Stay updated on current US IT market trends, technologies, and hiring requirements.

Required Skills:

• Good understanding of the US Staffing and OPT recruitment process.
• Strong communication, counseling and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of OPT, CPT, STEM OPT, H1B, EAD and Green Card work authorization.
• Experience in resume marketing and interview preparation.
• Ability to mentor candidates and provide career guidance.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6 months to 2 years of experience as an OPT Career Advisor, OPT Recruiter or US Staffing professional.
• Bachelors degree in any discipline.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced US staffing environment.
• Immediate joiners are preferred.
