Our Commodity Energy team within the Non-Production Materials Procurement is responsible for steering global energy procurement across the organization. We are looking to hire a Commodity Buyer Energy India to join our team in one of the following locations: Hyderabad, Pune or Chennai.

What you can look forward to as Commodity Buyer Energy India (m/f/d):

• Develop and execute the regional energy sourcing strategy for India in alignment with the global commodity strategy and local business requirements.
• Lead sourcing and implementation of renewable energy projects in India, including on-site generation, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and Energy Attribute Certificates / I-RECs, to support ZF's decarbonization and renewable energy targets.
• Manage the end-to-end source-to-pay process for energy-related demands in collaboration with internal stakeholders, local plants, Facility Management, Finance, Legal, Sustainability, and suppliers.
• Monitor energy market developments, pricing trends, regulatory changes, and policy developments; provide market intelligence and recommendations to regional and global stakeholders.
• Identify savings opportunities, negotiate commercial terms, and implement measures to mitigate cost increases, supply risks, and regulatory impacts.
• Develop, manage, and benchmark a competitive supplier base for energy and green energy solutions; drive supplier performance, innovation, and long-term value creation across the region.
• Assess and expand energy procurement opportunities, including green energy sourcing, in other countries outside India where required and support Facility Management projects in India.
• Support regional budget planning, price and volume forecasting, sourcing approvals, and management reporting for energy procurement activities.
• Ensure compliance with purchasing guidelines, audit requirements, governance standards, and internal approval processes.

Your Profile as Commodity Buyer Energy India (m/f/d):

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Energy Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience in energy procurement, energy sector or sustainability preferred.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, contract management, supplier relationship management.
• Analytical mindset with strong execution, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication, cross-functional and international collaboration abilities.
• Fluent in English.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
