Credit Analyst

Job Description:

• Evaluate fresh, renewal, enhancement, takeover and review proposals across MSME, SME and commercial loans.
• Analyse financial statements, balance sheets, P&L, cash flows, GST/ITR, banking transactions, CMA data, financial ratios and projections to assess creditworthiness and repayment capacity.
• Review CIBIL, Experian and CRILC reports and identify potential credit risks.
• Conduct borrower visits and client discussions to understand business operations and loan requirements.
• Assess business viability, leverage, liquidity, profitability, debt servicing capacity and repayment track record.
• Identify credit risks and recommend suitable mitigants and independent credit decisions.
• Evaluate collateral security, property valuation, legal/title reports, mortgage documentation and CERSAI compliance.
• Ensure adherence to bank credit policies, KYC/AML norms, regulatory guidelines and sanction conditions.
• Coordinate with business, legal and operations teams to resolve credit queries and complete appraisal and sanction documentation.
• Monitor renewals, overdue accounts, SMA, covenants and Early Warning Signals (EWS).
• Process proposals through LOS/BPM systems within defined TAT and maintain accurate MIS.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

• Experience in Business Loans, MSME/SME Credit Appraisal or Commercial Lending.
• Strong financial analysis, credit underwriting and risk assessment skills.
• Experience in handling business loan ticket sizes of 10 Cr20 Cr is preferred.
• Candidates from Banks/NBFCs with relevant credit appraisal experience are preferred.
