Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer – Electrical with 3–5 years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and field service activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform SF6 Circuit Breaker installation, testing, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance at customer sites.
• Carry out SF6 Circuit Breaker assembly, inspection, mechanism checks, and commissioning activities.
• Perform SF6 gas handling, filling, evacuation, pressure checks, and leakage inspection as per applicable procedures.
• Conduct protection relay testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Perform primary and secondary injection testing as required.
• Troubleshoot electrical, control, protection, and interlocking circuits.
• Perform electrical testing such as Insulation Resistance (IR), Contact Resistance, Breaker Timing, and other relevant tests.
• Read and understand Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical schematics, and control wiring diagrams.
• Carry out installation and commissioning of electrical equipment and associated systems.
• Attend breakdown and service calls at customer locations.
• Identify faults and provide effective technical solutions.
• Prepare service reports, inspection reports, testing reports, and commissioning reports.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to complete service activities efficiently.
• Follow electrical safety procedures, LOTO, PPE, and site safety requirements.
• Maintain proper records of tools, testing equipment, spare parts, and service activities.
• Travel to customer sites and project locations as required.

Requirements:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant field-service experience.
• Hands-on experience in SF6 Circuit Breaker installation and commissioning.
• Experience in protection relay testing and electrical testing/commissioning.
• Knowledge of SF6 gas handling and Circuit Breaker maintenance.
• Knowledge of primary and secondary injection testing.
• Good understanding of electrical protection, control, and interlocking systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, SLDs, and control schematics.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations.
• Valid driving license is preferred.
