Job Title: Electrical Engineer Civil Construction Sites

Experience Required: 10+ years in construction or infrastructure projects preferred

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to oversee and manage electrical systems on our construction sites. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and efficient design, installation, and maintenance of all electrical components across projects, in compliance with industry standards and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Supervision: Monitor and supervise electrical work on active construction sites, ensuring compliance with project specifications, electrical codes, and safety standards.
• Installation Oversight: Manage the installation of wiring, switchboards, lighting, and equipment as per site requirements.
• Execution of Sites: Take ownership of complete site execution, ensuring quality and timely completion of electrical works as per the approved drawings.
• Quantity Extraction: Extract and verify quantities from BOQs and drawings to facilitate planning and site execution.
• Billing: Prepare and submit electrical bills based on work executed at site; coordinate with billing engineers and clients for verification and approvals.
• Quality Control: Conduct inspections to verify quality, safety, and adherence to electrical codes and construction guidelines.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to power distribution, equipment malfunction, or site-specific challenges.
• Coordination: Collaborate closely with project managers, civil engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless execution of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) integration.
• Documentation: Maintain records of all electrical activities, inspection reports, measurement books, and progress updates.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all electrical work adheres to local and national electrical codes, especially with regard to site safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Proven experience in construction site environments
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety codes
• Experience in electrical estimation, billing, and quantity take-offs
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and coordination abilities
• Familiarity with MS Office, AutoCAD, and project billing is a plus
