Maintenance Digitalization Specialist
Alstom Transport India LtdJob Description
Maintenance Digitalization Specialist
At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.
Could you be the full-time Digital Maintenance Engineer in our Maintenance Digitalisation team we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your analytical and engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, detail-oriented, and collaborative teammates.
You'll act as the bridge between the Maintenance world and the Data domain, identifying optimisation opportunities and implementing them through the use of digital technologies. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Maintenance Operations, Fleet Support Centers, and Regional Service Engineering), master digital tools, and drive the deployment of new processes from conception to adoption.
You’ll specifically take care of creating and maintaining an inventory of digital rules and reports, but also support training programs to enable regional resources to fully utilise digital maintenance tools.
We’ll look to you for:
Mastering digital tools like HealthHub, TrainScanner, Track Tracer, and others to support maintenance projects.
Understanding maintenance operations, lifecycle costs (LCC), and depot planning to identify optimisation opportunities.
Developing and maintaining an inventory of HealthHub rules and reports, ensuring their effectiveness and traceability.
Creating “starter packs” for new Rolling Stock Maintenance projects to adopt best practices.
Managing and delivering a training curriculum to regional teams, ensuring content is relevant and impactful.
Supporting value assessment and tracking benefits achieved through digital tool deployments.
Assisting with the roll-out of methodologies and supporting trained regional resources.
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
Degree in Engineering, Master of Science, or equivalent.
Experience or understanding of maintenance industry needs and operational constraints.
Knowledge of Rolling Stock or Railway Signaling products/subsystems.
Familiarity with condition-based maintenance (CBM) and prognostics and health monitoring (PHM).
A proactive, autonomous, and challenge-driven mindset.
Detail-oriented and solution-driven work ethic.
Excellent team player skills with a supportive attitude and eagerness to learn from others.
Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:
Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines.
Work with cutting-edge technologies in rail signalling and maintenance analytics.
Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues.
Contribute to innovative projects that shape the future of transportation.
Utilise our flexible and dynamic working environment.
Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries.
Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning programs.
Progress towards leadership and specialized technical roles.
Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).
You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
As a global business, we’re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 63 countries we operate in. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone.
