The Lead Engineer takes ownership of critical tasks and technical topics, actively challenging the status quo and fostering collaboration within their project or squad. In this role, you will act as a technical mentor, deeply understanding how individual components fit into the broader organizational strategy. You will lead the design and implementation of solutions using the team's primary programming languages and cloud services. By defining testing strategies, ensuring secure coding practices, and translating organizational goals into actionable technical roadmaps, you will maintain the highest engineering and coding standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Scope / (Content Leadership): Takes ownership of ambiguous tasks and topics in the “grey zone” (where there is no defined owner) and successfully drives small to medium (S/M) initiatives at the project, squad, or product level. Leads technical design and implementation while applying established patterns and best practices.

• Accountability/Problem Solving: Diagnoses and resolves complex technical issues and addresses performance bottlenecks. Challenges the status quo, skillfully navigates group dynamics in diversified settings, and fosters good collaboration, knowledge sharing, coaching, and mentoring.

• Stakeholder Management: Prioritizes and communicates with stakeholders effectively. Maintains a "bigger picture" view to thoroughly understand how various technical components fit into the overall product strategy and organizational goals. Communicates technical decisions effectively to the team and broader audiences.

• Impact/Strategy: Acts as a technical mentor and aligns development plans with the global strategy. Translates goals into a technical roadmap, guides technical direction, and gets involved in initiatives reaching outside of the regular project scope. Actively gives speeches and shares knowledge in internal events (e.g., DevOps Days, Tech Talk, Tech Live).

• Complexity / (Product Size): Operates at the Product or Site level, making a direct impact on the technical decisions within the product and the ways of working of other chapter members.

• Business / Technical ability: Possesses a deep understanding of the broader technical landscape beyond the specific component being worked on. Formulates and implements technical strategies aligned with organizational objectives, investing time and energy in initiatives that boost creativity and innovation while maintaining the highest engineering quality. Understands and applies agile principles in daily development tasks.

Qualifications

Education / Experience

• Demonstrated experience translating organizational goals into technical roadmaps and leading the design and implementation of software solutions.

• Proven track record of acting as a technical mentor, navigating group dynamics, and actively participating in internal knowledge-sharing events.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in establishing high coding standards and conducting comprehensive code reviews for MuleSoft implementations

• Deep technical capability working with Salesforce APIs (REST, GraphQL, GRPC, Bulk 2.0, Composite) and architecting real-time synchronization using Salesforce Platform Events, CDC, and PushTopics while managing Governor Limits.

• Hands-on experience designing scalable pub/sub messaging patterns and integrating with event brokers like Solace PubSub+ for real-time data streaming.

• Experience developing automated pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Mule Maven Plugin) and implementing effective monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (Anypoint Monitoring, ELK, Splunk).

• Strong capability to define and promote testing strategies and automation.

• Solid understanding of secure coding practices, API governance, and implementing robust authentication (OAuth 2.0, JWT Bearer Token flow, TLS/mTLS) while resolving complex performance bottlenecks.

• Knowledge of healthcare data interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, and CDISC.
