Platform Engineering Associate - Redis Administration

This role offers exposure to distributed systems, cloud technologies, automation, observability, platform modernization, and large-scale production environments. You will partner closely with application development teams, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity teams, and cloud engineering teams to deliver resilient platform solutions that support DTCC's mission as critical market infrastructure.

• Build, configure, maintain, and support Redis platform environments across development, testing, disaster recovery, and production.
• Support onboarding of new applications to the Enterprise Redis platform and provide guidance on architecture, high availability, performance, and scalability best practices.
• Monitor platform health, performance, capacity, and availability to ensure operational excellence and service reliability.
• Troubleshoot complex issues involving distributed systems, Linux operating systems, networking, cloud infrastructure, and application integrations.
• Support platform upgrades, patching activities, configuration management, and disaster recovery exercises.
• Develop and enhance automation solutions using scripting and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
• Partner with application teams to optimize Redis deployments and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
• Contribute to observability initiatives by enhancing monitoring, alerting, logging, and operational dashboards.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, standards, and engineering procedures.
• Participate in production support activities, maintenance windows, and on-call rotations as required.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure platform security, compliance, and resiliency.
• Support cloud modernization initiatives across AWS and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Follow DTCC governance standards, engineering best practices, and risk management requirements.
• Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk and escalate appropriately.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Platform Engineering, Systems Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• Experience supporting Linux-based enterprise platforms in production environments.
• Experience troubleshooting infrastructure, operating system, network, and application-related issues.
• Experience with automation and scripting technologies such as Python, Shell, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, performance tuning, and operational resilience concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern infrastructure practices.

• Experience administering Redis Enterprise or open-source Redis environments.
• Experience supporting distributed data platforms, databases, caching technologies, or search platforms.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, EBS, VPC, Route 53, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, or similar technologies.
• Experience with observability and monitoring platforms including Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, Dynatrace, or comparable tools.
• Experience supporting mission-critical, high-availability production environments.
• Familiarity with containerized and cloud-native technologies.
• Working knowledge of network fundamentals, TLS/SSL certificates, load balancing, and platform security controls.
• Experience in financial services, regulated industries, or other highly controlled enterprise environments is a plus.
