Site Engineer - Electrical - HYD123

The Site Engineer - Electrical is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing all electrical installation activities for the Data Centre project in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations. The role includes managing electrical works related to HT/LT systems, transformers, switchgears, UPS systems, DG sets, cable trays, power cables, grounding and lightning protection systems, lighting systems, and associated electrical infrastructure. The engineer shall review construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals, while ensuring compliance with project specifications and applicable standards. Responsibilities include monitoring site progress, coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines, resolving technical issues, managing manpower and resources, and ensuring timely completion of project milestones. The engineer shall conduct site inspections, verify installation quality, oversee testing and commissioning activities, maintain progress records, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Additional responsibilities include ensuring adherence to HSE requirements, supporting quality inspections, coordinating equipment energization activities, and assisting in project handover documentation. Experience in Data Centre, Mission Critical, Industrial, Commercial, or Infrastructure projects is preferred. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems, UPS and backup power systems, earthing and lightning protection, testing and commissioning procedures, and relevant IEC, IEEE, NEC, or local electrical standards. A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience is required. Strong technical, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for successful project execution and reliable facility operations.
