Site Engineer - PHE - HYD123
The Site Engineer - PHE is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing all Public Health Engineering (PHE) works in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules. The role includes managing the installation, testing, and commissioning of water supply systems, domestic water distribution networks, drainage systems, sewage systems, stormwater networks, rainwater harvesting systems, sump and tank installations, pumps, water treatment systems, and associated piping infrastructure. The engineer shall review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, hydraulic calculations, and construction schedules to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable codes and standards.
Responsibilities include coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines such as Civil, Architectural, Electrical, and Mechanical teams to ensure smooth execution of works. The engineer shall monitor site progress, manage manpower and resources, conduct site inspections, verify installation quality, resolve technical issues, and ensure timely completion of project milestones. Additional duties include preparing quantity requirements, monitoring material deliveries, conducting pressure testing, leak testing, flushing, disinfection, and system commissioning activities. The Site Engineer shall maintain daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, inspection records, testing documentation, and as-built drawings while ensuring compliance with quality and HSE requirements.
The role also involves supporting authority inspections, assisting in project handover documentation, and ensuring all systems are installed and commissioned in accordance with local regulations and client requirements. Experience in Data Centre, Commercial Building, Industrial, Infrastructure, Healthcare, or Mission Critical Facility projects is preferred. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of potable water systems, drainage networks, plumbing installations, water treatment systems, pump systems, hydraulic principles, testing and commissioning procedures, and relevant standards such as IPC, UPC, IS Codes, and local authority regulations. A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Civil Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience is required. Strong technical, planning, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for successful project execution and delivery. Project is HYD123&124.
