Team Leader - Operations

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and proactive US Tax Team Lead to oversee day-to-day US tax operations, manage a team of tax professionals, and ensure effective client communication and service delivery.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of US taxation, team management capabilities, and the ability to handle client queries while ensuring timely and accurate completion of tax-related assignments.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and guide the US Tax team in daily operations.
• Oversee US Individual and Business Tax Return preparation and related processes.
• Handle client communications, tax-related queries, and service requests.
• Coordinate with clients to collect documents, clarify information, and resolve outstanding queries.
• Review team deliverables to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely completion.
• Monitor workflow, allocate assignments, and ensure adherence to deadlines.
• Support team members with technical guidance and process-related queries.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure a professional service experience.
• Identify operational challenges and implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and applicable US tax requirements.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Graduate in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Prior experience in US Taxation, preferably in Individual and Business Tax Returns.
• Experience in handling a team and managing client communications.
• Strong understanding of US tax processes, documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working night shifts aligned with US business hours.
