Tool and Die Maker

We are seeking a skilled and precision-focused Tool and Die Maker to join our tooling team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, repairing,

modifying, and maintaining complex plastic injection molds, dies, and precision tooling. You will work closely with mold designers and

production teams to minimize downtime and ensure molds meet strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Build:

• & Repair Molds: Fabricate, assemble, repair, and maintain
• multi-cavity plastic injection molds, hot runner systems, core
• slides, and ejector mechanisms.

Machining:

• Operations: Setup and operate conventional and CNC machinery,
• including lathes, mills, surface grinders, EDM (Sinker and Wire),
• and drill presses to tight tolerances ($\pm 0.005 \text{ mm}$ / $\pm
• 0.0002 \text{ inches}$).

Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose mold performance issues, part flash, pin breakage, and core
• wear directly on the floor or in the toolroom to support production
• continuity.

Blueprint

• Reading: Interpret 2D engineering drawings, CAD files, and 3D
• models to execute precision machining and tooling modifications.

Preventative

• Maintenance: Execute scheduled mold maintenance (cleaning,
• polishing, replacing worn inserts, checking cooling channels,
• greasing moving components).

Quality

• Assurance: Inspect manufactured tool components using
• micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, and optical
• comparators before final tool assembly.
