About the Role

Wellness Hospitals is looking for a creative and technically skilled Video Editor & Videographer who can shoot, edit, and produce high-quality video content across multiple formats. The ideal candidate should combine strong editing fundamentals, camera-handling skills, creative storytelling, and knowledge of modern AI-powered video production tools.

The candidate will work on a diverse range of projects, including social media Reels and Shorts, doctor videos, podcasts, patient and corporate testimonials, healthcare awareness videos, promotional campaigns, and corporate films.

We are looking for someone who can transform a creative brief into a compelling video, from capturing the footage to delivering the final polished output.

Key Responsibilities

1. Video Editing & Post-Production

• Create engaging Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, social media advertisements, and other short-form content.
• Edit long-form videos, podcasts, doctor interviews, patient testimonials, corporate testimonials, and corporate films.
• Develop compelling narratives using effective hooks, pacing, transitions, visual storytelling, and sound design.
• Apply colour correction, colour grading, audio enhancement, subtitles, text animations, and motion graphics.
• Repurpose long-form content into short clips, highlights, teasers, and platform-specific edits.
• Adapt content for different social media platforms, aspect ratios, durations, and campaign requirements.
• Maintain professional video quality and consistent brand presentation across all deliverables.

2. Video Shooting & Camera Handling

• Independently handle video shoots, including camera setup, framing, composition, exposure, focus, and basic lighting.
• Shoot doctor interviews, medical awareness content, podcasts, patient and corporate testimonials, hospital facilities, events, and promotional videos.
• Handle cameras, lenses, tripods, stabilisers, microphones, and basic lighting equipment.
• Record clear, professional-quality audio and ensure proper lighting and framing during shoots.
• Capture appropriate supporting footage and B-roll to strengthen the final edit.
• Work at hospital branches and other locations as required.
• Ensure all footage is organised, backed up, and ready for post-production.

3. AI-Powered Video Production

• Use modern AI tools to enhance editing quality, efficiency, and creative possibilities.
• Explore AI-assisted video generation, image-to-video animation, visual effects, background removal, audio cleanup, subtitles, and voice enhancement.
• Familiarity with tools such as Runway, Kling, Higgsfield, or equivalent AI video platforms is desirable.
• Experiment with contemporary editing styles, creative transitions, cinematic effects, and visual storytelling techniques.
• Identify practical ways to use AI tools to improve production workflows without compromising content accuracy or brand credibility.

4. Podcasts, Interviews & Testimonial Production

• Shoot and edit podcast episodes, doctor conversations, interviews, and long-form discussion videos.
• Capture patient and corporate beneficiary testimonials in a professional and natural format.
• Understand camera positioning, microphone placement, lighting, audio levels, and continuity for interview-based productions.
• Create full-length versions along with short highlights, teasers, and promotional clips.
• Maintain clear dialogue, natural colour, consistent audio levels, and professional presentation throughout the video.

5. Creative Collaboration & Project Management

• Understand creative briefs and reference videos, and translate them into effective video outputs.
• Collaborate with the digital marketing, design, and content teams to execute campaigns and special projects.
• Stay updated on relevant video trends, editing styles, platform formats, and emerging production tools.
• Manage multiple assignments and revisions while meeting agreed deadlines.
• Organise footage, project files, graphics, music, and final exports systematically.
• Incorporate feedback and maintain quality and consistency across deliverables.

Required Skills & Technical Proficiency

• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent professional editing software.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe After Effects or other motion graphics tools.
• Practical video shooting and camera-handling skills.
• Understanding of composition, framing, lighting, audio recording, and colour grading.
• Familiarity with AI video generation and AI-assisted editing tools.
• Ability to edit both short-form and long-form videos.
• Ability to create professional interview, podcast, testimonial, promotional, and corporate video content.
• Good understanding of video formats, aspect ratios, resolution, codecs, and export settings.
• Strong creative judgement, attention to detail, storytelling ability, and time management.

Eligibility & Experience

• Candidates with 0–2 years of experience are eligible to apply.
• Freshers with a strong portfolio and demonstrable practical skills are welcome.
• A diploma, degree, or certification in video editing, filmmaking, media production, animation, or a related field is desirable but not mandatory.
• Candidates must share a portfolio or showreel demonstrating their editing ability and, where possible, their own shooting work.
• Willingness to shoot at hospital branches and other production locations is essential.

Preferred Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who is creative, adaptable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. The candidate should be equally comfortable shooting footage and working on the edit, understand visual storytelling, and be willing to explore new editing techniques and AI-powered tools.

The ideal candidate should not be limited to template-based edits. They should have the ability to make footage more engaging through thoughtful storytelling, professional editing, good sound design, and creative visual execution.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a practical assessment involving:

1.Editing a short-form video from raw footage.

2.Demonstrating basic camera setup, framing, and shooting ability.

3.Editing a sample interview or long-form clip.

4.Explaining how AI tools could be used to improve the video production process.
