About yoPerksyoPerks is a local rewards and customer loyalty platform that helps people earn rewards and enjoy exclusive perks when they shop at their favourite local businesses.

Through the yoPerks app, customers can earn points at partnered stores and redeem them for exciting rewards, while merchants can encourage repeat visits and build stronger relationships with their customers.

We are looking for energetic, confident, and outgoing interns who can help us grow our merchant network engagement and introduce more customers to yoPerks.

Role OverviewAs a Field Marketing & Merchant Engagement Intern, you will visit yoPerks-partnered shops, interact with merchants, explain how the platform works, help them use the yoPerks Business app, and encourage customers to download and try the yoPerks app.

This is a field-based role that involves travelling locally, building relationships, and promoting yoPerks through face-to-face interactions.

• Key Responsibilities1. Merchant Visits & EngagementVisit up to 45 partnered merchants per day within an assigned area, based on the daily route plan.
• Explain how yoPerks works and how merchants can use it to attract customers and encourage repeat visits.
• Demonstrate the yoPerks Business app and explain the customer scanning, points-earning, and redemption processes.
• Check whether merchants have completed their profile, configured rewards, and displayed their yoPerks QR code.
• Help merchants understand how to explain yoPerks to their customers.
• Build good relationships with shop owners and staff to improve regular usage of the platform.
• 2. Customer Awareness & AcquisitionInteract politely with customers visiting partnered stores whenever business activity permits.
• Introduce customers to yoPerks and explain how they can earn points and redeem rewards.
• Demonstrate the app and guide interested customers through installation, registration, and their first interaction with a partnered merchant.
• Encourage customers to scan the merchant's yoPerks QR code or show their personal QR code, depending on the applicable reward flow.
• Help customers understand available offers and redemption steps.
• 3. Merchant Activation & SupportIdentify merchants who are not actively using yoPerks and understand the reasons.
• Help resolve basic app usage questions and report technical issues to the internal team.
• Encourage merchants to explain yoPerks to customers during regular business hours.
• Collect merchant feedback, suggestions, and common customer questions.
• 4. Daily ReportingMaintain a record of merchants visited and the time spent at each location.
• Track merchant engagement, app configuration status, and customer interactions.
• Report the number of customers onboarded, app installations assisted, and successful reward interactions.
• Share daily updates, challenges, and improvement suggestions with the team.
• Daily Performance ExpectationsMerchant visits: Target up to 45 visits per day, depending on geography and engagement requirements.
• Merchant engagement: Explain the platform and provide practical assistance during each relevant visit.
• Customer interaction: Introduce yoPerks to interested customers at partnered stores.
• Merchant activation: Help incomplete or inactive merchants become confident users of yoPerks.
• Reporting: Submit accurate daily activity reports.

Performance will be evaluated on the quality of merchant engagement, customer acquisition, merchant activation, and reporting—not just the number of visits.

• Eligibility & Required SkillsUndergraduate or postgraduate students and recent graduates can apply.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable speaking with shop owners, staff, and customers.
• Confident, friendly, proactive, and willing to approach new people.
• Basic smartphone and app usage knowledge.
• Willingness to travel locally and work in the field.
• Knowledge of Hindi is essential; basic English communication is an advantage.
• Prior experience in field marketing, sales, customer support, or campus ambassador programmes is a plus, but not mandatory.
