Accounts Manager

1. Project & Construction Accounting

• Manage Progress Billings: Prepare and submit monthly progress billings using AIA documents (G702/G703) or custom Schedule of Values, tailored to specific client contracts.

• Track Retainage: Oversee the accurate tracking and timely collection of withheld contract retainage.

• WIP (Work-in-Progress) Reporting: Maintain and analyze WIP reports to track project profitability, cost-to-complete metrics, and over/under billings.

• Change Order Management: Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure all authorized change orders are properly integrated into the billing system and job budgets.

2. Cost Control & Procurement Tracking

• Material & Subcontractor Costs: Audit and code vendor invoices for electrical components (wire, switchgear, fixtures) and subcontractor charges to specific job codes.

• Lien Waiver Processing: Collect, verify, and issue conditional and unconditional lien waivers for subcontractors and suppliers to mitigate company risk.

• Inventory Coordination: Reconcile tool and material inventories allocated to different job sites with the general ledger.

3. General Financial Management

• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for both the contracting and consulting arms of the business.

• Cash Flow Forecasting: Monitor cash flow closely, projecting incoming receipts against heavy project expenditures (such as upfront material orders or payroll mobilization).

• Payroll Oversight: Ensure certified payroll reports are accurately completed and submitted for prevailing wage or government-funded electrical contracts.

• Tax Compliance: Oversee sales and use tax compliance, especially regarding project material exemptions and multi-jurisdictional job sites.
