Assistant Accountant

Job Summary:The Accountant Assistant will support the accounting team in managing day-to-day financial tasks, data entry, documentation, compliance activities, and preparation of financial reports. This role is suitable for candidates who are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn and grow in the field of accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and data entry in accounting software (Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).
• Assist in preparing GST, TDS, and Income Tax returns.
• Maintain organized client records and financial documents.
• Conduct basic reconciliations (bank, vendor, customer, etc.).
• Support in preparing financial statements and internal MIS reports.
• Track due dates for filings and help ensure timely compliance.
• Manage a small Team of 1 or 2 person.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• B.Com / M.Com / BBA / MBA in Finance or related field.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel (formulas, data handling, etc.).
• Familiarity with any accounting software like Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Nice to Have:Internship or 6+ months of experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Exposure to UK accounting standards or cloud accounting platforms (Xero, Dext, etc.).
