AutoCAD Designer

• Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for office furniture, workstations, tables, chairs, storage units and other products.
• Develop working/production drawings with accurate dimensions, materials, specifications and assembly details.
• Prepare furniture layouts and space-planning drawings based on customer requirements.
• Convert concepts, sketches and requirements into detailed technical drawings.
• Prepare cutting sizes, material specifications and quantity requirements wherever required.
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure drawings are practical and manufacturing-friendly.
• Make modifications to existing designs based on customer or production requirements.
• Prepare drawings for customized furniture and special projects.
• Coordinate with the sales team regarding technical feasibility and design requirements.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions and approved designs.
• Ensure drawings follow company standards and minimize production errors.
• Visit factory/site when required to understand measurements and execution requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors for technical drawings and material specifications when required.
• Required SkillsExcellent knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
• Knowledge of 3D software such as SketchUp, 3ds Max, SolidWorks or similar will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of furniture construction, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and prepare technical drawings.
• Good knowledge of dimensions, measurements, materials and hardware.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple projects.

Educational QualificationDiploma / B.Tech / B.Arch / Interior Design / equivalent qualification with relevant experience in AutoCAD and furniture design.
