Business Development Manager (BDM)

We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to drive growth and retail expansion in the luxury jewellery segment. This multifaceted role includes identifying new business opportunities, executing store launches, overseeing retail operations, managing store teams, developing strategic partnerships, and improving customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Retail Expansion & Strategic Growth:

·        Identify and evaluate potential locations for new store openings based on market research and customer demographics.

·        Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, vendors.

Operational Management:

• Supervise and optimize operations across all existing and new stores.
• Ensure smooth supply chain coordination for inventory procurement, stock rotation, and demand forecasting.

Team Building & Leadership:

• Provide leadership and coaching to store managers and sales teams to drive high performance and motivation.
• Conduct regular reviews and implement performance improvement plans where needed.

Marketing & Brand Promotion:

• Work closely with marketing to plan and execute in-store promotions, local events, and launch campaigns.
• Collaborate on influencer partnerships, and digital marketing initiatives to enhance visibility and footfall.
• Ensure consistent branding, merchandising, and customer experience across all locations.

Sales, Revenue & Customer Development:

• Drive sales growth and profitability across channels.
• Identify high-value customers and develop long-term engagement strategies including loyalty programs and personalized services.
• Regularly review sales data and KPIs to identify new opportunities and areas of improvement.

Market & Competitor Analysis:

• Continuously monitor competitors, pricing strategies, and emerging trends in the jewellery and luxury lifestyle segment.
• Provide detailed reports to senior management on business intelligence and market shifts.
• Recommend new collections, product enhancements, or category expansions based on consumer demand and competitor insights.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in retail business development, preferably in jewellery, luxury, or fashion industries.
• Proven experience in launching and managing multi-location retail stores.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Strong understanding of customer behaviour in the luxury/lifestyle category.
