Job Description
- Document Verification
- Verify original KYC and loan documents.
- Check documents for authenticity, discrepancies, alterations, or inconsistencies.
- Conduct pre-disbursement and post-disbursement sampling.
- Customer & Field Verification
- Visit customers' residences, offices/businesses, or transaction locations when required.
- Verify customer identity, address, employment/business activity, and loan purpose.
- In purchase transactions, verify the seller and transaction details.
- Fraud Detection & Investigation
- Identify suspicious applications, forged documents, misrepresentation, duplicate profiles, and unusual patterns.
- Investigate suspected fraud and escalate significant findings to the appropriate team.
- Support case-specific and ad-hoc investigations.
- Process & Compliance Checks
- Check whether branches/business teams are following company policies and SOPs.
- Identify process deviations and control weaknesses.
- Support internal audit, compliance, and risk-control reviews.
- Verification Calls
- Call customers to confirm information submitted during the loan/application process.
- Record customer feedback and investigate discrepancies or suspicious cases.
- MIS & Reporting
- Maintain RCU registers, verification records, and case documentation.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports.
- Track findings, escalations, and corrective actions.
- Coordination
- Coordinate with Credit, Sales, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Audit, IT, and Branch teams.
- Communicate RCU findings and follow up until issues are resolved.
- Typical skills requiredGood communication and investigation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of KYC, AML, fraud indicators and loan processes
- MS Excel and MIS/reporting
- Ability to conduct field visits and customer verification
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Willingness to travel, depending on the role
