Job Description – Relationship Manager (Loan Against Property - LAP)
Job Title: Relationship Manager – LAP
Department: Retail Assets / Secured Loans
Location: Multiple Locations
Reporting To: Area Sales Manager / Branch Manager
Role Purpose
The Relationship Manager - LAP will be responsible for sourcing, acquiring, and managing customers for Loan Against Property (LAP) products. The role involves generating business through direct sales, DSA channels, connectors, and existing customer relationships while ensuring portfolio quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire new customers for Loan Against Property (LAP) products.
- Generate business through self-sourcing, referrals, channel partners, DSAs, and market activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, real estate agents, and business associates.
- Conduct customer meetings to understand funding requirements and recommend suitable lending solutions.
- Collect and verify customer documents for loan processing.
- Coordinate with credit, legal, technical, and operations teams for smooth loan disbursement.
- Ensure achievement of monthly disbursement, sourcing, and revenue targets.
- Monitor portfolio quality and assist in collections, if required.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and audit requirements.
- Track competitor offerings and market trends to identify business opportunities.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the loan lifecycle.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong sales and relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of Loan Against Property products and secured lending.
- Understanding of credit assessment and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build channel partnerships and generate leads.
- Customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate in any discipline (MBA preferred).
- 2-8 years of experience in LAP, Mortgage Loans, Home Loans, or Secured Business Loans.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in the banking or financial services industry
