Retail Sales Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers in the showroom with a professional and friendly approach.
• Understand customer requirements, preferences, budget, and occasion to recommend suitable jewellery.
• Explain product features, designs, purity, weight, pricing, making charges, gemstones, and other relevant details accurately.
• Demonstrate jewellery products and help customers compare different designs and options.
• Achieve individual and showroom sales targets.
• Handle customer queries, objections, negotiations, and follow-ups professionally.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Maintain customer records and follow up on enquiries, quotations, and prospective sales.
• Support billing, order booking, exchange, repair, and delivery processes as required.
• Ensure jewellery is handled carefully and displayed according to showroom procedures.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and visual presentation of the sales area.
• Coordinate with the inventory, billing, and management teams to ensure smooth customer service.
• Stay updated on jewellery designs, market trends, gold/silver rates, gemstones, and company offers.
• Follow all company policies related to security, inventory control, customer service, and sales procedures.
• Assist with customer outreach, festive promotions, exhibitions, and other sales activities.
• Required Skills & QualificationsGraduate or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 1–5 years of experience in jewellery, luxury retail, fashion retail, or premium customer-facing sales preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good customer service and relationship-management abilities.
• Sales-oriented with a target-driven approach.
• Basic knowledge of gold, diamonds, gemstones, purity, weight, and jewellery pricing.
• Good numerical and negotiation skills.
• Presentable personality and professional grooming.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and handle customers patiently.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with POS/CRM systems is an advantage.
