Job Description
About the RoleWe are a manufacturing company looking for a hands-on Software Engineer who can design, build and maintain custom apps and software for our factory and office operations. You will replace manual registers and scattered Excel sheets with simple, reliable digital tools used by production, store, quality, HR and accounts teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop web apps, mobile apps and desktop software for internal use (production tracking, inventory/store, dispatch, quality checks, attendance, HR and payroll support, maintenance requests, etc.)
- Meet department heads and shop-floor staff to understand their process and turn it into software requirements
- Build dashboards and automated reports (daily production, stock, manpower, rejection, dispatch) for management
- Integrate software with existing tools such as Excel, Tally/ERP, biometric/attendance machines, barcode/QR scanners and printers
- Design and manage databases; ensure data accuracy, backup and security
- Test, debug, deploy and maintain all applications; fix issues promptly
- Provide user training and simple documentation (user manuals, SOPs)
- Maintain basic IT systems support where required (network, systems, access rights)
- Suggest and implement automation to reduce manual work, errors and paperwork
- Keep source code, versions and documentation properly organised
- Required QualificationsB.E./B.Tech in Computer Science / IT / Electronics, or BCA/MCA, or equivalent
- 2 to 5 years of experience in software or app development (freshers with strong projects may be considered)
Technical Skills Must have:
- Programming: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java/C#
- Web development: HTML, CSS, a framework such as React, Django, Flask or Node.js
- Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQL Server, with strong SQL
- REST APIs and data integration
- Excel automation and report generation
- Git or other version control
Good to have:
- Mobile app development (Flutter, React Native or Android)
- Experience with ERP, MES or inventory/production software
- Barcode/QR, IoT or PLC/SCADA data integration
- Power BI or similar dashboard tools
- Basic cloud knowledge (AWS, Azure) and hosting
- Basic networking and cybersecurity awareness
