Big Yellow Door Cafe is looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic, and dedicated Pizza Chef Helper to assist the pizza chef with daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate should have a passion for food, basic kitchen knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Pizza Chef in preparing and making pizzas.
• Prepare and arrange ingredients, toppings, sauces, and vegetables.
• Assist with dough preparation, portioning, and pizza base preparation.
• Maintain proper food quality, taste, and presentation standards.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the pizza preparation station.
• Follow kitchen recipes, portion sizes, and standard procedures.
• Maintain proper storage and labelling of ingredients.
• Check stock availability and inform the chef about shortages.
• Assist with kitchen opening and closing duties.
• Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines.
• Support the kitchen team during busy hours.
• Ensure proper handling and maintenance of kitchen equipment.

• Requirements0–1.5 years of experience in a cafe, restaurant, or kitchen.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation is preferred.
• Interest in pizza making and Italian cuisine.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good hygiene and cleanliness habits.
• Hardworking, punctual, and disciplined.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
