Job Title: Tool & Die Maker / Operator

Job Summary: The Tool & Die Maker / Operator is responsible for manufacturing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing precision tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and molds used in production.

The role ensures tooling accuracy, quality, and availability to support smooth manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacture and assemble tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and molds as per drawings/specifications

Operate conventional and CNC machines (lathe, milling, grinding, drilling, etc.)

Read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances

Perform tool setting, alignment, and try-outs on machines/presses Troubleshoot tooling issues and carry out corrective actions

Repair and maintain existing dies and tools to minimize downtime Ensure dimensional accuracy using measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, height gauge, dial indicator, etc.)

Support production during die trials and new tool development Maintain records of tool maintenance and modifications

Follow safety procedures and 5S practices at all times

Coordinate with production, quality, and engineering teams

Skills & Requirements

ITI / Diploma in Tool & Die Making or relevant trade

2-5 years experience in tool room / manufacturing environment (preferred) Strong knowledge of press tools, dies, and machining processes

Ability to read technical drawings and GD&T

Hands-on experience with manual machines (CNC knowledge is an advantage)

Good problem-solving skills Basic understanding of quality standards Willingness to work shifts if required

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods Capable of lifting moderate tool components Good handeye coordination
