Store Manager: Family Store (Grocery Store )

Location: Family Store, Sector 123, Sunny Enclave , Kharar

Job Type: Full-time, 6 days a week

Salary: Upto ₹25,000 per month

Experience Required: 1 to 3 years as a Store Manager in a grocery store

About the Role

Family Store is looking for an experienced Store Manager to run the daily operations of our grocery store. You will manage the store team, keep stock in order, coordinate with vendors, and help us move from manual record-keeping to billing and inventory software.

Key Responsibilities

• Open and close the store on time every day, and make sure the store is clean, organised and ready for customers
• Manage, guide and supervise the store staff, including assigning duties and handling daily attendance and shifts
• Handle inventory: receive stock, check quantities, arrange products on shelves and keep track of stock levels
• Monitor expiry dates regularly, follow the FIFO (first in, first out) method, and take timely action on near-expiry and expired products (markdowns, returns to suppliers or proper disposal)
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers: place orders on time, follow up on deliveries, check goods against bills on receipt, and keep stock of popular items from running out
• Handle vendor returns and claims for expired, damaged or wrong items, and keep a record of pending payments and credit notes
• Build and maintain good relationships with vendors, and keep the owner informed about rates, schemes and new suppliers
• Use billing and inventory software to manage sales, stock entries and daily reports (POS ,Shopify ,OR SAP)
• Handle customer queries and complaints politely and resolve them quickly
• Ensure cash handling and end-of-day cash reconciliation are accurate
• Help move the store's records from manual systems to software

• Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Store Manager, with overall experience of 1 to 3 years
• Experience must be in a grocery or supermarket store
• Working knowledge of billing software and inventory management software (such as Marg ERP, Busy, GoFrugal or Vyapar)
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel or Google Sheets is a plus
• Good communication and team handling skills, including dealing with vendors
• Honest, punctual and responsible, and comfortable working six days a week
• No specific educational qualification required
