Job Description
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable statutory requirements.
Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
Ensure proper use of PPE by employees, contractors, and visitors.
Conduct safety induction, training, and awareness programs.
Monitor machine safety, electrical safety, fire safety, and safe working practices.
Ensure compliance with the Permit-to-Work system for hazardous activities.
Investigate accidents and near misses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Inspect fire extinguishers, first-aid boxes, emergency exits, and safety equipment.
Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training records, and statutory documentation.
Monitor housekeeping, safe material handling, and waste disposal practices.
Coordinate emergency drills and ensure emergency preparedness.
Follow up on safety observations, audit findings, and corrective actions.
Monitor contractor safety and compliance with site safety rules.
Prepare periodic safety performance reports and coordinate with department heads to improve workplace safety.
