Job Title: Baker – Commis I/II/III

Job Summary

We are looking for passionate and skilled Bakers at the levels of Commis I, II, and III to join our culinary team. The ideal candidates should have hands-on experience in bread making, chocolate work, and a light understanding of continental cuisine. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods and assisting in the development of innovative bakery products.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake various types of bread including Doughnuts, cinnamon rolls etc.
• Assist with the tempering, molding, and garnishing of chocolate for pastries and desserts.
• Execute recipes for continental desserts, breakfast items, and baked savory goods.
• Ensure the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in the bakery section.
• Follow standard recipes and techniques as per chef’s direction, with attention to detail and presentation.
• Maintain consistency in taste and appearance of all baked products.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with senior chefs for new menu ideas and seasonal offerings.
• Uphold kitchen and food safety regulations.

Requirements

• Formal culinary training or certification in baking and pastry arts is preferred.
• Prior experience (minimum of 1–3 years based on rank) in a professional kitchen or bakery.
• Commis III: Entry-level, basic experience or training.
• Commis II: Intermediate level, 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Commis I: Senior-level commis, 2–3+ years of solid experience in bread, chocolate, and continental cuisine.
• Proven knowledge of bread fermentation techniques and chocolate handling.
• Understanding of international baking trends and techniques in continental pastries.
• Strong time management, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
