Picker / Packer

We are looking for a responsible and attentive Picker / Packer to handle the picking, checking, and packing of pharmaceutical products for dispatch. The role requires good attention to detail, basic reading ability, and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick medicines and other pharmaceutical products according to the order/invoice.
• Carefully read and verify product name, strength, packing, batch and quantity before packing.
• Ensure the correct product is picked and that there are no quantity or product mismatches.
• Check products for visible damage, leakage, broken strips/bottles, etc.
• Pack products neatly and securely in cartons to avoid damage during transportation.
• Arrange products properly inside cartons to make efficient use of available space.
• Handle pharmaceutical products carefully and maintain cleanliness in the packing area.
• Keep picked and packed orders properly organized for dispatch.
• Inform the supervisor immediately if any product is unavailable, damaged, mismatched, or difficult to identify.
• Maintain general cleanliness and order in the warehouse/packing area.
• Follow company procedures for handling and dispatching pharmaceutical products.

Required Skills

• No specific educational qualification required.
• Must be able to read product names and numbers carefully.
• Basic ability to understand instructions.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to count accurately.
• Ability to learn product names and packing formats.
• Must be responsible and willing to work systematically.
• Prior experience in pharmaceutical distribution/warehouse work is an advantage but not mandatory.

This job requires ACCURACY more than speed. The employee must understand that picking even one wrong product or quantity can cause a dispatch error. The person should therefore be attentive, follow instructions, and double-check their work before handing an order over for dispatch.
