CHINESE CHEF | CALCUTTA-CHINESE/INDO-CHINESE
The Calcutta Bar, Park Street, Kolkata, is looking for an experienced Chinese Cuisine Chef to join our kitchen team.
👨🍳 Who We're Looking For
We are looking for a skilled Chinese/Indo-Chinese Chef who can independently manage the Chinese section and consistently deliver excellent taste and quality.
⭐ Experience in Calcutta-Chinese cuisine will be strongly preferred.
Preferred experience:
- 5–10+ years of relevant Chinese/Calcutta-Chinese experience
- Strong wok-cooking skills
- Good knowledge of Calcutta-Chinese / Indo-Chinese cuisine
- Experience with noodles, fried rice, starters, soups, gravies and main courses
- Ability to independently manage the Chinese section
- Good knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety
- Ability to maintain quality and speed during busy service
🔥 Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Chinese and Calcutta-Chinese dishes to restaurant standards
- Handle wok and Chinese-section preparations
- Maintain consistent taste, quality, portion and presentation
- Manage mise en place and daily preparation
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
- Control food wastage and portion sizes
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff during service
- Maintain speed and consistency during peak hours
- Follow recipes and maintain standardized preparation
📍 Location
The Calcutta Bar, Park Street, Kolkata
A practical cooking trial will be conducted before final selection.
