Interior Site Supervisor

Role Description:

The Site Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area, responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities at project sites. This position coordinates with designers, architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure that work is executed according to drawings, specifications, and safety standards. Daily responsibilities include monitoring site progress, managing manpower and resources, maintaining quality control, and documenting work through reports, photographs, and checklists. The Site Supervisor also handles basic issue resolution on site, escalates technical concerns to the design and engineering teams, and supports adherence to timelines and budgets. The role involves regular site inspections, communication with clients or client representatives, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise construction sites, including monitoring daily activities, coordinating trades, and ensuring adherence to design and technical specifications.
• Strong skills in site planning and organization, including scheduling, resource allocation, and basic project coordination with internal teams and external vendors.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and finishes relevant to residential and vernacular contemporary designs, with attention to quality and safety.
• Competence in documenting site work through reports, measurements, photographs, and checklists, and maintaining accurate records for project tracking.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, and for resolving routine on-site issues.
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings, and translate plans into clear instructions for site teams.
• Understanding of basic health, safety, and environmental standards applicable to construction sites in the Kolkata metropolitan area.
• Relevant experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in architecture, interior design, or construction projects; residential or small-scale projects experience is advantageous.
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent hands-on experience may be considered.
• Willingness to work primarily on site, travel between project locations within the metropolitan area, and adapt to changing project demands.
