Job Description – Maintenance Executive / Technician
Industry: Sweets, Namkeen, Bakery & Food Processing
Department: Engineering & Maintenance
Location: Manufacturing Plant + Retail Outlets
Experience: 2–5 Years
Reporting To: Plant Head / Operations Head
Job Summary:
Responsible for preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of production machinery, electrical systems, refrigeration/HVAC, cooking equipment, utilities and infrastructure at the manufacturing plant and company retail outlets. Ensure maximum equipment uptime, minimum breakdowns, safe operation and timely resolution of maintenance issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment including kadhai/frying systems, gas burners, mixers, kneaders, sev/bhujia machines, pulverizers, packaging machines, conveyors and weighing/sealing equipment.
Conduct preventive maintenance as per daily, weekly, monthly and annual schedules and maintain equipment history and breakdown records.
Troubleshoot electrical panels, motors, starters, contactors, relays, wiring and other electrical systems.
Maintain LPG/PNG pipelines, burners, regulators, valves and ensure safe gas operation.
Maintain refrigerators, chillers, freezers, cold rooms, ACs, exhaust and ventilation systems.
Attend maintenance complaints at retail outlets involving electricals, chillers, ACs, kitchen equipment, plumbing, pumps, fixtures and infrastructure.
Coordinate with external technicians, vendors and AMC service providers and verify completed work.
Maintain spare-parts inventory and recommend critical stock levels.
Follow GMP/GHP, electrical, gas and workplace safety requirements and prevent food contamination during maintenance.
Prepare maintenance reports, schedules, registers and KPI reports.
Qualifications & Skills:
ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics or related field. Strong troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, vendor coordination and reporting skills. Food manufacturing, sweets, namkeen, bakery, commercial kitchen or QSR experience preferred.
