Job Description
Key responsibilities
- Prepare patients for consultations and procedures, record vital signs and complete pre-procedure nursing checks.
- Administer prescribed medications, fertility injections and IV fluids as directed by the treating doctor and within nursing scope of practice.
- Prepare the procedure room or OT, check instruments and supplies, and assist the clinical team during procedures such as IUI, oocyte retrieval and embryo transfer.
- Monitor patients during day-care recovery, promptly report concerns to the treating doctor and reinforce discharge instructions.
- Explain prescribed injection schedules and follow-up instructions in clear language. Offer reassurance and protect patient privacy throughout treatment.
- Maintain accurate nursing records and follow clinic protocols for infection control, sterilisation and biomedical waste segregation.
Qualifications and skills
- GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) diploma or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognised institution, with valid Nursing Council registration.
- Experience in fertility care, gynaecology, OT or day-care nursing is preferred.
- Compassionate patient care, clear communication in Bengali and attention to detail.
