Production Coordinator

Rupahali Sarees, One Wood Street, Kolkata - a trusted women's ethnic wear showroom for 31 years - is hiring a Production Coordinator to run our production department.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and track stitching work across tailors and units, from cutting to ready piece
• - Coordinate embroidery, zardozi and handwork karigars and check work against approved designs
• - Quality check every piece: stitch quality, symmetry, embroidery, measurements, stains and colour match
• - Supervise finishing: pressing, thread trimming, lining, tags, packing and hangings
• - Maintain a simple tracker of orders, due dates, rework and material given to karigars
• - Give daily status updates to management and coordinate with the showroom, stock and accounts teams

Requirements:

• 3+ years of production coordination in garments, boutique or ethnic wear
• - Practical knowledge of stitching, embroidery and finishing, with a keen eye for defects
• - Comfortable working with karigars in Bengali and Hindi
• - Basic Excel/Google Sheets and WhatsApp
• - Polite, respectful and organised. We do not tolerate rude behaviour in our showroom.
