Retail Sales Executive

1. Sales & Customer Consultation

• Customer Engagement: Welcome walk-in customers warmly, assess their needs, and guide them through product offerings (curtains, upholstery, bedding, rugs, wallpaper, furniture, and decor).
• Consultative Selling: Understand customer preferences, floor plans, room dimensions, and color schemes to suggest appropriate fabrics, patterns, and designs.
• Upselling & Cross-Selling: Recommend matching accessories, custom cushions, hardware (e.g., curtain rods, blinds), or premium fabric options to increase basket size.

2. Product Expertise & Visual Merchandising

• Product Knowledge: Stay thoroughly updated on fabric compositions, durability, maintenance instructions, warranties, and stock availability.
• Showroom Maintenance: Ensure display setups, fabric swatch books, and furniture displays remain neat, organized, and visually appealing according to brand standards.
• New Arrivals: Assist in arranging new collection displays and seasonal promotional setups.

3. Measurement, Customization & Order Management

• Tailored Solutions: Assist customers with customized orders (e.g., custom curtain stitching, sofa upholstery, or bespoke blinds).
• Site Visits & Measurements: Coordinate with site technicians or visit customer premises to take accurate measurements for window treatments or furniture placement.
• Order Tracking: Liaise with workshops, tailors, or vendors to monitor custom production timelines and ensure on-time delivery.

4. Operations & Administrative Duties

• Billing & Quotations: Prepare accurate cost estimates, proforma invoices, and finalize sales transactions using POS (Point of Sale) software or ERP systems.
• Inventory Control: Monitor display stock, report low stock or damaged swatch samples, and assist in periodic inventory audits.
• Client Relationship Management (CRM): Follow up with clients regarding delivery status, post-installation satisfaction, and notify repeat customers about new arrivals or sales.
• Core Skills & QualificationsStrong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic understanding of interior design concepts, fabrics, and color theory
• Numerical aptitude for measuring and estimating material requirements
• Proficiency in basic store management or POS software
