Steward

We are looking for a responsible, hardworking, and well-groomed Steward to join our restaurant team. The Steward will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and restaurant areas, supporting the kitchen and service teams, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

• Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, service area, wash area, and back-of-house.
• Wash and clean utensils, crockery, cutlery, glassware, kitchen equipment, and other service items.
• Ensure all cleaned items are properly dried, sanitised, and stored.
• Support the Kitchen and Service Teams during busy operational hours.
• Assist in maintaining proper cleanliness of tables, service stations, counters, and common areas.
• Ensure garbage is segregated and disposed of properly as per restaurant standards.
• Keep the wash area and kitchen floor clean and free from water, food waste, and other hazards.
• Assist with receiving, shifting, and storing kitchen supplies when required.
• Ensure cleaning materials and chemicals are used safely and responsibly.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Report damaged crockery, equipment, leakage, breakage, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain discipline, punctuality, grooming, and professional behaviour at all times.
• Perform any other operational duties assigned by the Chef, Restaurant Manager, or Management.
• Candidate RequirementsPrevious restaurant/hotel experience preferred.
• Hardworking, punctual, and physically fit.
• Good hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work efficiently during busy hours.
• Team player with a positive and cooperative attitude.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in a professional restaurant/hotel environment will be an advantage.
