Job Description
About the Role
Karmick Institute is seeking a proactive, result-oriented, and well-connected Training & Placement Officer to manage student training, placement activities, and industry engagement. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and relationship-building skills, experience in placement coordination, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with companies and recruitment partners. The role will involve coordinating with students, trainers, and employers to facilitate placement opportunities, organize recruitment drives, and support students in becoming industry-ready.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate and manage end-to-end training and placement activities for students.
· Build and maintain relationships with companies, recruiters, HR professionals, and industry partners.
· Identify and approach potential employers for placement and internship opportunities.
· Coordinate campus recruitment drives, interviews, assessments, and other selection processes.
· Understand employer requirements and coordinate with internal teams to provide suitable candidates.
· Maintain and regularly update student placement records, databases, and recruitment-related reports.
· Guide students regarding job opportunities, interview preparation, resume building, and professional development.
· Conduct and coordinate placement preparation activities, including mock interviews, aptitude tests, group discussions, and soft-skills sessions.
· Coordinate with trainers and academic teams to ensure students are adequately prepared for industry requirements.
· Follow up with companies and candidates throughout the recruitment process and ensure smooth coordination.
· Track student placements, internships, interview participation, and selection status.
· Achieve placement-related targets and contribute towards improving the overall placement outcomes of the institute.
Required Skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong networking and relationship management abilities.
· Good understanding of recruitment and placement processes.
· Ability to communicate effectively with HR professionals, recruiters, students, and academic teams.
· Strong coordination, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
· Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and CRM/placement management tools.
· Target-oriented and result-driven approach.
· Ability to manage multiple recruitment activities and deadlines simultaneously.
Eligibility Criteria
· Graduate or Post Graduate in any discipline.
· 4–5 years of experience in Training & Placement, Corporate Relations, Recruitment, Campus Recruitment, Career Services, or similar roles.
· Experience in a similar industry will be preferred.
· Experience in dealing with companies, recruiters, HR teams, and educational institutions will be an added advantage.
