Job Description
Job Title: QuarkXPress Operator / DTP Designer – Hindi Newspaper & Magazine
Bharat 19 Express is hiring an experienced QuarkXPress Operator / DTP Designer for its Hindi newspaper, daily e-paper and monthly magazine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and lay out newspaper and magazine pages using QuarkXPress.
- Arrange Hindi news articles, headlines, photographs, captions and advertisements.
- Maintain consistent fonts, columns, spacing and page styles.
- Correct Hindi typing, formatting and layout errors in coordination with the editorial team.
- Prepare print-ready PDFs and digital editions.
- Complete page production within daily publishing deadlines.
- Organise editable files, fonts, images and final PDFs.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably with a Hindi newspaper or magazine.
- Practical knowledge of QuarkXPress is mandatory.
- Good Hindi typing skills and familiarity with Unicode and legacy Hindi fonts.
- Knowledge of print specifications, including page size, margins, bleed, CMYK and image resolution.
- Photoshop and CorelDRAW skills preferred; InDesign knowledge is an advantage.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under publishing deadlines.
Location: Ashiyana, Lucknow
Employment: Full-time, work from office
Salary: Based on experience and practical skills.
